MOTLEY CRUE reflects on the release of their debut album 'Too Fast For Love' in November of 1981

Motley Crue 1981 release

A trip down memory lane on the official MOTLEY CRUE Instagram account today, looking back at 1981 when they had just received the records they independently printed of their debut album, 'Too Fast For Love'.

That first pressing of just 900(!) copies was released on November 10, 1981, on the band's own Leathür Records label.

Elektra Records signed the band the following year in 1982, at which point the album was remixed and partially re-recorded.

The re-release, with different track listing and slightly different artwork (e.g., red lettering on the cover and a different interior photograph of the band), has become the standard version from which all later reissues derive.
