Peter Criss, born George Peter John Criscuola on December 20th 1945, is an American drummer renowned for his pivotal role in the legendary rock band KISS.

 

As one of the founding members, Criss contributed not only his exceptional drumming skills but also his distinct vocal style to the band's iconic sound.

 

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Criss began his musical journey in various local bands before joining forces with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Ace Frehley to form KISS in 1973.

 

His stage persona, "The Catman" became an integral part of KISS's theatrical image. Criss's drumming prowess, coupled with his soulful vocals, played a crucial role in the success of KISS during their early years.

 

Beyond his time with KISS, Peter Criss has pursued solo projects and has left an enduring mark on the world of rock music.
